My name is Irina and I enjoy the kind of travel that gives up the comfort of hotels and public transport and really gets under the skin of a country. I like to do so by making an effort to learn the language of the locals, stealth camping, hitchhiking, and couchsurfing whenever possible. Travelling this way brings me closer to the reality of a place and to the people whose lives I chronicle in this blog.
