Victor Sheverda
Victor Sheverda is a Construction Project Manager in the Greater Denver Area, overseeing commercial projects from the early planning stages through final closeout. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. He is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP)®, recognizing his ability to manage construction projects through structured and repeatable methods. He combines a strong foundation in project planning with practical field experience, allowing him to meet client expectations while delivering projects on time and within budget. His construction journey began through involvement in his family’s company, which focused on building custom-spec residential homes. The company used Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) construction, a method known for its energy efficiency and sustainability. That early experience helped develop his dedication to environmentally responsible construction. ICF structures also provide added durability and resistance to fire, pests, and natural disasters, principles he continues to apply in commercial settings. He gained valuable industry experience through three summer internships with a major construction company. These opportunities gave him practical insight into large-scale projects and helped shape his professional direction. After completing his degree, he began his career as a Project Engineer and later advanced to Assistant Project Manager at a respected general contractor in Colorado. In this position, he manages subcontractor coordination, contract execution, procurement tracking, and communication with owners, ensuring projects move forward smoothly and efficiently. He is also certified in Agile project methodology, which allows for flexible project planning through sprints. This approach helps him incorporate client feedback during each construction phase while staying aligned with overall project goals. His ability to manage evolving needs has been beneficial on complex projects with tight timelines and multiple stakeholders. He spent part of his childhood in Hawaii, where he developed a connection to the environment. After moving to Colorado, he attended Cherokee Trail High School, excelling academically and athletically. He was a four-year varsity tennis player and qualified multiple times for regional and state competitions. He began his college education studying Civil Engineering but transferred to Colorado State University, where he graduated with a 3.78 GPA. While there, he was a Sigma Lambda Chi Honor Society member and regularly appeared on the Dean’s List. During college, he completed internships on several significant projects, including Market Station and RidgeGate Campus in Colorado, and worked on the United States Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. He considers his role in the Capitol restoration project a career highlight. After graduation, he joined the National Western Center Campus Energy project as a Project Engineer, contributing to North America's most extensive sewer-heat recovery system. He later served as a Construction Estimator, analyzing subcontractor proposals and preparing detailed cost estimates. In 2022, he took on the role of Assistant Project Manager, where he continues to oversee procurement and contract management on significant projects such as the NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center. Outside work, he enjoys exploring the outdoors, climbing many of Colorado’s 14ers, and hiking trails in Hawaii, New Mexico, and Colorado. He also stays active through Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, boxing, skiing, and weightlifting. He supports environmental conservation through his involvement with a national wildlife foundation and finds inspiration through travel and historical exploration. Victor Sheverda brings discipline, practical experience, and a commitment to sustainability to every project he manages, continuing to contribute to the construction industry with focus and integrity.
