Tony Collins Ministry- "Koinonia"

Tony has been a Christ follower since his late teen-age years and spent from 1993-2008 in Contra Costa working in a local church as a youth, family & connections pastor, working with middle & high school students, their families and others both in and outside of the church. In 2009, after many wonderful years working inside the church loving teens and their families, Tony answered a new calling from God to continue to minister to broader group people who are on a journey with God. For the last five years, under the ministry umbrella of the “The Leadership Connection” (leadconnect.org), Tony has ministered to men in this surrounding community. This ministry focuses on guiding men from all aspect of life in our community toward a deeper and transforming relationship with Jesus Christ. This calling evolved from an initial desire to reach out to those who had not yet heard about Jesus (still desire to do this) to a ministry that emphasizes Jesus' sending call to his followers (Matthew 28) just before He ascended back into heaven to be with the Father telling them to go and make disciples (followers) of the entire world by teaching all those folks all that He had taught them during His time here on earth. Regularly meeting and connecting with 25-35 guys throughout any given week, Tony applies his relational gifts to encourage, mentor, coach, pastor, and come alongside men of all ages. Whether they are seekers-of-God, already followers of Jesus, attending church or not, the structure of this ministry allows Tony to connect in natural “life settings” in order to walk with men in their day-to-day lives. Tony has been married to Kristi for 17 years and they have three children: Keegan , Cooper and Mia.
