Temi Adebambo

Temi Adebambo is a cybersecurity executive whose leadership at Microsoft has shaped the gaming security landscape, where he currently serves as General Manager and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Overseeing the safety of more than 500 million monthly active players, he leads the protection of beloved gaming franchises, including Xbox, Call of Duty, Halo, World of Warcraft, Candy Crush, Minecraft, Fallout, Diablo, Doom, and Indiana Jones. Temi’s career spans more than two decades, encompassing experience in technology, gaming, life sciences, financial services, and industrial products. Throughout his professional journey, Temi has guided Fortune 500 companies through significant transformations in technology and cybersecurity. He is recognized for driving strategic initiatives, developing secure cloud architectures, and building comprehensive risk management and compliance programs. His technical strengths cover cloud and application security, identity and access management, data protection, privacy, threat detection, and incident response. Temi’s work is grounded in frameworks and standards such as HITRUST, NIST, FedRAMP, ITIL, PCI DSS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001, ensuring organizations meet the highest levels of security and regulatory requirements. A strong advocate for lifelong learning, Temi holds advanced certifications in AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure. He has been honored with the CISO Connect Top 100 Accelerated CISOs Award in both 2024 and 2025. As an influential voice in cybersecurity, he is a frequent speaker and panelist at major industry conferences, including Black Hat MEA and the Transformational National CISO Assembly, where he shares insights on the evolving threat landscape and best practices in the field. Temi’s story began in Lagos, Nigeria, where he developed a sense of adaptability, creativity, and resilience that has continued to shape his leadership style. His transition to the United States opened doors to world-class educational opportunities and hands-on experience with leading-edge technology organizations, deepening his commitment to solving complex security challenges. Before his current role at Microsoft, Temi Adebambo served as Global Head of Security Solutions Architecture at Amazon Web Services, Senior Manager for Cyber Risk Services at Deloitte, and Associate in Threat and Vulnerability Management at PwC. His career began as a Microsoft Ambassador, where he engaged with developer communities and supported the adoption of technology. Temi also serves as a board member for the National Cybersecurity Society and is an active volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and Habitat for Humanity. He holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Master’s in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego, and executive education from Harvard Business School.
