My name is Margery Chuba-Okadigbo, a mother, a lawyer, and by the grace of God, a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I entered the public service to help "Restore the legacy of Principled Leadership" which is a principle my late husband Rt Hon (Dr) Chuba Okadigbo stood for through out his life time. I'm a Christian and derive my strength from reading the bible. Being a widow have more or less strengthened my capacity to advocate for the widows, the girl-child and the very vulnerable members of our society. My position as a senator has made it possible for me to contribute to bills that will legislate for good governance, and help better the lots of the poor and the very vulnerable individuals in our society. i believe in human empowerment as a means of fighting crime and advancing our human society and have tried my best to provide as many jobs to young and not so young graduates and school leavers while empowering a number of others to start small scale businesses of their own. i have zero tolerance for corrupt enrichment......probably from my training as a lawyer and i think without a doubt that the transformation agenda of the present government led by Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan GCFR is a 'master blue print' that will unlock our potentials as a country and help us actualize our vision 20:2020.
