Robb Stein
Robb Stein is an entrepreneur and longtime business leader who has built and managed several companies while also working as a real estate investor for more than twenty years. Raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, he developed a strong sense of responsibility toward the community where he grew up. Over time, his work has combined business leadership with an ongoing commitment to supporting local organizations through service, volunteerism, and charitable giving. Robb is the principal owner of the Cincinnati Byrider location, part of a nationwide dealership network that focuses on selling inspected and reconditioned vehicles. The dealership also offers in-house financing programs designed to help customers establish or rebuild their credit history. By reporting payment activity to the major credit bureaus, the program enables customers to strengthen their financial standing. Across the United States, more than 1 million people have chosen Byrider as their dealership, making it a trusted option for individuals who need both reliable transportation and financing. In addition to this role, Robert Stein serves as President of Derojo, Inc., a Cincinnati-based company involved in several business sectors. The organization owns and operates auto dealerships, subprime finance companies, a real estate development group, and a reinsurance company. Its strategy often centers on identifying businesses in specialized markets that may benefit from new capital investment and stronger management structures. Through this work, the company seeks to improve operations and create long-term stability. He also serves as Chairman of Card Sound Reinsurance Group, which focuses on specific insurance exposures that can deliver higher returns in favorable tax environments. Alongside these responsibilities, he leads another significant automotive venture. Robert Stein, of Cincinnati, is the President and owner of Alford Motors, Inc., the largest subprime auto dealer group. The business combines vehicle sales with financing solutions designed for customers who may not qualify for loans from traditional banks or lenders. By providing both transportation and financing opportunities, the company aims to support individuals who need practical access to vehicles. Outside of his professional career, Robb Stein has maintained a strong record of community involvement in Cincinnati. For nearly a decade, he served on the Board of Directors of the StarShine Hospice program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. The program offers palliative care for children and young adults with limited life expectancy, focusing on comfort and support for both patients and their families during difficult times. Stein also served for four years on the board of Living Arrangements for the Developmentally Disabled (LADD). Founded in 1975, the organization helps adults with developmental disabilities live independently while building meaningful connections through employment opportunities, training, and community engagement. His volunteer efforts also extend to the American Heart Association. He has supported the organization since 2001 and helped establish its Young Professional committee. In addition, he created the Heart Ball after-party and served as its chair, contributing to fundraising and outreach efforts that support heart health initiatives. Robb also played a leadership role with Fall Feast Cincinnati, serving as a former co-chair and member of its steering committee for more than a decade. The annual Thanksgiving event brings together over one thousand volunteers to provide meals, coats, and access to services for thousands of individuals in need throughout the city. Robb Stein earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in Bloomington. Outside of work and community service, he enjoys golf, skiing, boating, and outdoor challenges. He has completed endurance activities, including the 29029 Everesting Challenge in Jackson Hole, and later summited Mount Rainier.
