Britt Thompson (The Casual Corpus Christian)

Britt Thompson (The Casual Corpus Christian) is and has always been a teacher. During his career, he taught at Kemp High School, Henderson County Junior College, R. L. Turner High School, Brookhaven College, Driscoll Middle School, and Collegiate Early College High School (Corpus Christi ISD). He also worked for 28 years at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and Hewlett-Packard Company. Mr. Thompson holds the high school diploma from Malakoff High School; the associate of arts degree (magna cum laude) from Tyler Junior College; the bachelor of arts degree (magna cum laude) from Stephen F. Austin State University; and the master of arts degree with a specialization in composition and teaching English in colleges and junior colleges from The Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development at New York University. In 2019, he was named a finalist for Teacher of the Year in the Corpus Christi Independent School District. Mr. Thompson lives in Corpus Christi with his wife, Deborah and their famous rescue dog, Oscar, where he is a wildlife photographer and teacher of many things.
