My interests are eclectic but probably safely described as creative, contemplative and intellectually curious. I finally managed to eke out a PhD later in life and then moved from the dry heat of Arizona to the wet wonders of the Pacific Northwest. Now that I'm semi-retired from academia I have time to read and write for fun, take advantage of fabulous MOOCs (shout out to FutureLearn for the BEST delivery system of them all), and make art. I also enjoy time with my grandkids and communing with nature, which is everywhere here in such abundance that I feel almost guilty.
