Marc Korenberg

Marc A. Korenberg is an accomplished finance executive with a career spanning over two decades. Known for his strategic insight, operational expertise, and leadership in diverse sectors, he has made significant contributions to every organization he worked for. His career is defined by a commitment to solving complex challenges, driving growth, and improving operational efficiency. Marc's journey began with a solid academic foundation. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Vermont in 1999 and later earned an MBA in Finance from Keller Graduate School of Management. His early career in finance began at UBS Investment Bank in New York, where he worked in corporate finance. There, he developed a deep understanding of financial management, strategy, and risk mitigation and gained exposure to high-level corporate decision-making. His contributions at UBS quickly led to increasing responsibilities, laying the groundwork for his future roles in business leadership. In the wake of the September 11 attacks, Marc experienced a personal shift in priorities. Feeling deeply impacted by the events, he left his career in finance and enlisted in the United States Army. He attended Infantry School and Airborne Paratrooper jump school and later served with the 82nd Airborne Division. His military service from 2001 to 2005 helped him develop critical leadership skills, discipline, and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments. These experiences shaped his leadership style and prepared him for the challenges he would face in his civilian career. Upon returning to civilian life, Marc shifted to the private sector, joining a family-owned motorcycle dealership in Bear, Delaware. Initially working in sales, his financial background quickly propelled him into the dealership’s finance department. Over time, he took on a broader role and became the General Manager for Sales and Finance. In this position, he played a key role in driving the business's financial and operational success. Marc then returned to the finance industry, joining Zeltiq Aesthetics in California. He initially served as a Business and Financial Analyst and quickly became Director of Commercial Operations. He oversaw various functions in this role, including marketing, sales, business intelligence, and customer service. His leadership and ability to streamline processes played a significant role in the company’s growth, and he was promoted to Director of Finance and Operations. His work was instrumental in Zeltiq’s successful acquisition by Allergan in 2017, for which he received the CEO Award for Excellence. In 2018, Marc took on a new challenge at Revance Therapeutics, a biotech company focused on developing innovative treatments. As Senior Vice President of Finance, he was key in driving the company’s transition from clinical to commercial operations. His role involved overseeing financial strategy, business operations, and partnerships. In late 2023, he was appointed Deputy to the CFO and has been instrumental in leading the company’s economic strategy, including its planned merger with Crown Laboratories. Outside of work, Marc enjoys sports, mainly supporting Boston’s professional teams. He is also passionate about charitable work, supporting organizations like the ASPCA and The Gratitude Network, which provides education and resources to underprivileged children.
