- Name: Lassiter Literacy
- About me: I am an experienced educator with 30 years in public school education. Most of my experience in education has been teaching reading. I have been a classroom teacher, ESOL teacher, reading intervention teacher, Reading Recovery Teacher and reading specialist. I have worked primarily in Title I schools with large ESOL and Special Education populations. I am a National Board Certified Teacher certifying in Literacy: Reading/Language Arts \- Early And Middle Childhood in 2008 and renewing in 2018. I am passionate about helping children become highly proficient readers and lifelong lovers of literature. I work with parents and teachers providing tips and guidance in developing students into highly proficient readers while making reading a fun experience to be enjoyed for a lifetime. 

I have an adult daughter \(who loves to read, of course\). My hobbies, besides reading, include singing, listening to and playing music, acting and watching movies. I love stories in all forms!
