Denis Jelcic is a dedicated sports administrator, business owner, and community mentor with over 30 years of experience in these fields. As General Manager of the Inline Skating Club of America, he has played a central role in developing one of New Jersey’s top indoor sports facilities. His work with the New York Rangers Fan Engagement Department and Madison Square Garden reflects a long-standing commitment to sports, service, and community involvement. Denis has built a strong foundation in recreation management, league coordination, and youth development. Through coaching, officiating, and organizing programs, he has remained focused on creating meaningful experiences for athletes and fans alike. His involvement at both local and professional levels demonstrates his dedication to supporting sports in all forms. Denis began working at the age of 14, taking on part-time and full-time roles while volunteering in athletics. These early responsibilities included coaching, officiating, and organizing youth leagues. After college, he accepted a role in recreational facility management, which marked the beginning of his professional path in sports leadership. Denis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Saint Peter’s College in Jersey City in June 1998 and completed coursework in Education Administration at Montclair State University. These studies strengthened his ability to lead teams and manage sports programs effectively. From 1990 to 2000, Denis served at Cliffside Park Recreation in New Jersey, where he launched an inline roller hockey program, managed operations, and coached multiple sports. In 1999, he became General Manager of the Inline Skating Club of America. Between 2014 and 2020, he served as Assistant to the Athletic Director at Lyndhurst Public Schools, overseeing event coordination, budget management, and uniform distribution. In 2020, he joined Madison Square Garden, working in uniform distribution before becoming a hockey instructor in the Rangers Fan Engagement Department. Since 1995, the facility he co-owns has consistently served the local community through sports leagues and programs. Denis Jelcic’s career is a testament to leadership, dedication, and a lifelong commitment to the positive impact of athletics.
