Coleman Ledbetter

Coleman Ledbetter was born in Waller, Texas, and raised on a horse ranch near his grandparents. His days often began with chores and ended with fishing or exploring the outdoors. Growing up in that environment built his work ethic and taught him the importance of honesty, responsibility, and community. Those small-town lessons continue to be a guiding force in his education, work, and personal life. He graduated from Waller High School in 2021, began his studies at Texas Tech, and later transferred to South Plains College. He plans to graduate in 2026 to become an electrician. For him, education is about acquiring practical skills that provide independence and stability, while also allowing space for creativity. Music has been a constant in his life. Family gatherings often included guitars and singing, and from there, he developed his own style. He now writes, sings, and plays guitar, with country music being a natural fit for his background. He has also performed live in Lubbock, including at Bashas, a well-known venue for new artists. Writing and performing give him a way to share his perspective while staying true to his roots. When not studying or making music, he spends much of his time outdoors. Fishing, hunting, and surfing are part of his lifestyle. His appreciation for wide open spaces began in Texas, while trips to Costa Rica introduced him to surfing, which has become one of his favorite activities. He has also gained work experience that strengthened his skills. At Epic Energy, he worked as a construction assistant, learning the demands of job sites and the importance of teamwork. He also helps manage his family’s rental properties in Costa Rica and Lubbock, taking on responsibilities that have built adaptability and accountability. Volunteer work has been another part of his life, with mission trips and nonprofit projects that reflect his commitment to service. Family and friends remain central to his life, along with his dog, Lola, who is often by his side. Balancing school, music, work, and time outdoors, Coleman Creed Ledbetter continues to move forward with determination, shaped by the values that have guided him since childhood.
