Sochanny has joint WorldFish-AAS program as the Knowledge and Action Researcher in April 2013. Prior to participating in WorldFish, she had been working for Analyzing Development Issues Center as Program Manager from 2011-2013; for CCC-Analyzing Development Issues Project as Program Manager from 2007-2011; for Center for Advance Study as Social Researcher from 2005-2007. She obtained Master of Arts in International Development Studies from Graduate School of International Development, Nagoya University, Japan, in 2005. Her research areas include Food Security and Land Used Change, Migration and Elderly Study, Health, HIV/AIDS, Micro Vendors Study in Informal Economy, Land Conflict and Resolution, Assessment of Cambodia Civil Society, External Evaluation of Cadastral Commission. Her research disciplines are included Policy Research, Participatory Action Research, and anthropological research. She is also an experienced trainer and facilitator. Her works were published at national and international journal. Her research interest are on NRM, Land Issues, Social and Cultural Change, Climate Change, Participatory Action Research, Civil Society, Indigenous People Study, Democracy and Emerging Development Issues.
