BowWow Kaukau

BowWow Kaukau is a fresh take on island dog food. Our company was born on the island of Kauai, where "kaukau" (pronounced "cow-cow") is a Hawaiian pidgin word meaning "food" or "to eat." We start with fresh ingredients, grown right here in Hawaii. With each small batch, we are supporting local farmers, reducing the carbon footprint of our product, and bringing your dog the freshest food in town! Our recipes were developed with holistic veterinarians to provide your dog with the protein, fat, starch, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that will help her live a longer, healthier life. We slow-cook our dog food at low temperatures, which helps the ingredients retain their nutritional value. BowWow Kaukau was founded by Michele Bane, a biologist who has professionally worked with animals since 2000. Michele started making BowWow Kaukau’s recipes at home for her dog Diogi in 2009, and is excited to share them with Oahu now.
