Anais Amin
Anais Amin is an esteemed professional based in Los Angeles. She specializes in journalism, marketing, and community activism. With a Master's degree in Journalism from Columbia University, she leverages her skills to advocate for social justice and effect positive change within communities. Anais was raised in Los Angeles and attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. At UCLA, she served prominently in student government as one of fourteen council members. This role allowed her to champion initiatives for social justice, access to higher education, and mental health services for veterans, managing a team of 40 volunteers to support these causes. From June 2021 to December 2022, she was integral in researching, pitching, and editing content, writing scripts, and creating digital content. Before her tenure at Marketplace, she worked at KPFK Radio 90.7 FM from 2017 to 2019, producing educational radio segments on various social, political, and scientific topics. Currently, Anais holds the Marketing and Brand Manager position at a fashion manufacturing company, where she manages multimillion-dollar accounts and directs strategic marketing campaigns. Her professional journey also includes roles as an executive assistant in a dental lab and a PR and marketing intern at The Borgen Project, where she focused on global poverty reduction initiatives. Additionally, Anais is committed to community service, volunteering at animal shelters and a horse ranch for children with special needs.
