Grew up on Teesside in the contrasting landscapes of the industrial north-east of England, studied at Sheffield in the People's Republic of South Yorkshire during the early Thatcher years, then spent two decades working in and enjoying the vibrant multicultural free-thinking chaos of London before settling down and making northern Germany our family home - An alternative voice of an English outsider from inside the relative comfort of the outer-suburbs of Bremen.
