I am an experienced marketer, with many years at Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies, Goellner, Inc. (Hennig, Advance Machine & Engineering), along with several other smaller companies, such as Zion Development Corp. I've done everything in the business-to-business sphere from graphic design to corporate global marketing direction, a lot in between, and a lot in the periphery. Along side that work history, I have a personal interest for emerging technologies - I like invention and innovation. I have a penchant, and a reputation, for embracing the latest technologies, but not as a technologist - as a practical user and marketer. Combine that with a desire to more effectively meet the needs of end-user customers and website visitors. I look for ways to apply technologies to serve the needs of end-user customers, which will better meet the business needs of my employers and clients. For example, I used CDs in the early 1990s to make it easier for customers and sales engineers alike to select and order complex technology products. I jumped on the Internet when Mosaic was still the only viable browser and began to populate content as that company's highly-technology-oriented customer base was looking to that medium for information. I began merging content into a database to allow my company to write it once to publish it in multiple digital and print places in the mid 1990s, and ensuring that their customers got consistent information about the products and services from that company. Lately, of course, I have become enamored of the exploding social media, and all the many forms that it takes. But I become kind of crazy when it comes to renewable energy. That's why you'll see a lot of posts on that subject. I love that stuff, and believe the time is ripe for those technologies to enter the main stream, as some have begun to do. So, combine social media and renewable energy, and I think I might explode. Which is basically what is happening. As I am diving into social media, and comprehending the scope, learning ways to use it, apply it, and do so most effectively, I am also diving deeper into renewable energy. I hope you will join in the conversation with me as I dive into two of my passions in this blogsite.
