Wine. London. First stirrings on wine interest were sparked studying French language at university doing, yes, a wine module. Cue a year in Madrid eating a lot of tortilla and drinking a lot of very bad calimocho. Japan called and cue a couple of years of eating a lot of sushi and ramen and drinking not much wine. Suddenly (as things in Japan generally happen) found myself bitten with the wine bug after stumbling across a superb wine shop just outside of Tokyo, not exactly your archetypal vinous mecca. After that came a second hand wine book to pour over, and another and another. And another. Fast forward to London, not quite as close to my beloved Arsenal is I would ideally be (probably a safe thing though) and scribbling away my wine musings on here.
