Vidya Chathoth

I was trained to be a doctor, but I have engaged with diversity and worked in multiple roles- as a doctor, medical educator, TEFL teacher, medical writer and student counsellor. I am presently studying to be a psychologist. I believe that the role assigned to me by life is the role of a writer- one who interprets human experience to construct meaning out of it. This is what I do best- interpret people and experiences in my mind until these interpretations find their way into the words I write. I interpret not only real life characters, but also fictional characters. My first book was an interpretation of characters in malayalam cinema. Currently, I am writing a similar book on characters in selected Netflix series and animes. My aspiration is to help young people define better cultural ideals and create a higher meaning from their experiences.
