I was born in January 1959 in Holywood, Northern Ireland. I grew up during the terrorist war that would rage for 30 years. I'm a married father and granddad - I have three children and four grandchildren who are just awesome! Another of my children, Stephen, passed just after birth and the shock of that had severe consequences for me. Ten years ago my health was compromised and I now require substantial assistance in order to accomplish things that an able-bodied person may take for granted. My disabilities range from physical to mental and emotional and to top that, I am now diagnosed with autism!! Am I bitter or angry? No. Do I want or require sympathy? If given it will be gratefully accepted but it's not necessary. Am I enjoying my challenging life at 60? Most days, yes. Am I grateful for all the support that I have received? You bet!! My interests and talents are comprehensive, from politics, social justice, modern military history, scifi to reading, music, art and media. Thank you for taking the time to visit my site.
