My passions are writing, teaching, and traveling. I spend my life doing some combination of these things: I write fiction (young adult novels, historical fiction, short stories), nonfiction (travel essays and book reviews) and chapters and papers on film and cultural academic theory; I teach Cult Film, Middle Eastern Film and other classes at the University of New Mexico; and I organize cultural writing tours to Italy and Turkey. I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA with my husband and two dogs, and my step-son.
