I am 26 years old and I have Asperger Syndrome. Lately I have developed an interest in helping people but was turned down at the local suicide prevention centre as a prospective volunteer due to that reason. Being who I am, I cannot offer much empathy, having very little to give, but I can offer the fact that I care enough to try to help. On that note, suicide may or may not be the answer, but it is only one among the many others that will be dealt with here. I will do my best to offer the particular kind of comfort that can only be had when problems are actually reduced or made to go away entirely.
