Finished my PhD in 2009, then landed a postdoc. Decided the tenure-track (TT) wasn't really for me. After a crazy and exhaustive job search during the first half of 2011, I landed my first real job in my area of training. A couple of years after I became a (disgruntled) lab manager and exited a job from hell as soon as another opportunity became available. I'm now doing some rather fancy pants science and if it works out, I hope to retire from this place.
