I am a professor at UCLA in the Department of Information Studies and by courtesy in Design|Media Arts, conducting research that explores the means by which new media technologies are shaping cultural, economic, political, and social questions in our world today. I have a mixed background that merges ethnography, software/engineering, critical media studies, and design that fuels my research and consultancy efforts.
