My name is Maria Soto and I am a product of the Metropolitan University of Puerto Rico at the Jayuya Campus. My studies comply a B.A. in Education (2003) and a Masters in Curriculum and Teaching (2008) where the title of my research project is "Levels of motivation and their relation to learning styles of elementary school students". I've taught basic English to adult students at the Bank and Commerce Institution in Jayuya and Adjuntas, Puerto Rico which also makes me proud to form a part of my students lives, helping them fulfill their dreams of a better education in a very changing world. I've also worked with adult students who have struggled to obtain their GED's at the Northwest Technical College Inc. of Vega Baja, Puerto Rico in an extention of the program in Jayuya, PR. I have also have worked with supplementary institutions as in Nets, Vernets, and Rocket Learning Supplementary Educational Institutions tutoring elementary, middle and high school students in Mathematics, English, and Spanish subjects. I have also served as coordinator of Vernets. In 2012, I accomplished a Secondary English Certification at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. Presently, I work for the Department of Education of Puerto Rico in San Juan as an elementary teacher. It has been a pleasure to serve all who in a very special way have formed a special part of my life.
