I am happily married to a very kind and smart man, and we have a very sweet family. I am also a widow. My first husband died of Alcohol Use Disorder, a long-recognized mental illness that is widely misunderstood. I champion change for how we treat (in every sense) people with this terrible disease, I champion for hospital reform, for families of people suffering from this disease, I support reform for the treatment of farm animals, and believe in community service.
