I am a wife, mother, step-mother, Grammy and sister. I have worked most of my life and during this economic down time was given the opportunity to live the life I always wanted. My husband and I live in the shadow of Hanging Rock State Park in NC and have a view out our back door of Pilot Mountain. Now tell me who could ask for a more beautiful view? We searched for the perfect spot to spend the rest of our lives and love Stokes County which is on the NC/VA border. We are amatuer gardeners and are learning everyday about living in the country. We both grew up in towns, not large but still it was town, and we wanted to live the country life. So here we are! Our children live within 45 minutes of our home and that means all the Grand Children and Great Grands are close by. We try to gather as a family once a month in addition to all the usual holidays.
