I first played Dungeons & Dragons in middle school in the early 1980s, after receiving the basic boxed set as a birthday gift from my parents. After graduating from college, I stopped playing as I focussed on graduate school and career. In 2015, I discovered 5th edition D&D and fell back in love with its focus on collaborative narrative story-telling.
