I'm 31 year old chick living in Jo'burg. I learnt of my status in January 2011. Talk about starting the year off with a bang! I'm single, no kids and living with my sister. My mom is back home in the Eastern Cape. I haven't disclosed my status to them as yet. It's something i'm still coming to terms with so I will do so soon enough. I'm in an employee wellness programme at work and that is helping quite a lot. I am a socialite by nature and enjoy meeting new people. I also trust easily and generally see the good in people. Learning of my status has been life changing in the true sense of the word. From a positive aspect it has empowered me with self awareness. As I have had to be my own comforter and confidante. A bit of the downside is the fear which it's instilled in me. Fear of peoples' intentions, fear of trusting and believing at times... But I've made a promise to myself to take it as it comes and to be positively positive. I ain't taking this one lying down.
