I am Deaf. I use British Sign Language and my main mode of communication is BSL. English comes second. I see bilingualism (BSL and English) as important in the Deaf community as it will enable Deaf people to be active citizens in the wider world of Society. Currently, I teach Deaf Literacy, Numeracy and IT in Sheffield, Doncaster and Rotherham.
