Originally trained as a mechanical engineer. Spent twenty-four hectic years working in quiet desperation as a trouble-shooting corporate rat, through many diverse operational portfolios, and with last ten years at general management/board level with regional ASEAN exposure, up to late 1991. Inducted through conventional management education at London Business School, UK., & unorthodox enterprise education at Excellerated Business Schools, Kona, Hawaii, USA. I am now a life-long knowledge adventurer and technology explorer in the field of brain-based, future-focussed, change-oriented technologies e.g. brain ergonomics, learning, creativity/innovation/cha nge management, opportunity discovery, knowledge management, and strategic exploration. Transformed personal hobbies into a thriving business - doing what I love and loving what I do!. My hobbies are reading, blogging, research, prototyping, environmental scanning, surfing the net, ideas exchange and globe-trotting (esp. to unusual, exotic places, like North Africa/Sahara Desert, Silk Road, Iceland, Greenland, etc. to witness the ingenuity and imagination of mankind in dealing with difficult and hostile environments, since ancient times). Published & edited my own Left-Brain/Right-Brain Newsletter for two years. Currently, I own a strategy consulting, training development & product marketing firm, and also a small unique retail store, aptly called 'The Brain Resource' in the Central Business District of Singapore. In addition to providing strategy advisory to small businesses, I design and run my own proprietary training programs for entrepreneurs, managers & professionals (e.g. 'Idea-Mapping & Visual Thinking Strategies', 'Visual Tools for Opportunity Discovery & Strategic Exploration') as well as for young kids and students (e.g. 'Science & The Art of Discovery', 'Visual Thinking in the Learning Environment', 'Mastering Information', 'Highly Effective Study-Reading Skills'). Also design & run strategic retreats for corporations & non-profit outfits. Currently & jointly developing an 'Entrepreneurship Program for Kids'. Has ongoing strategic alliances with other competent companies and like-minded professionals.
