I am a retired Lieutenant from the Sonoma County Sheriff's Department. My law enforcement career spaned 31 years and almost every type of assignment. I have had a lot of experience in emergency medical responses, Helicopter and Search and Rescue. I use to rescue abalone divers, now I am a Trophy Abalone Hunter, that is I dive for abalone that measure 10 inches or more. I also build abalone dive boards called "Kelp Skimmers". This blog will have a variety of topics, however abalone diving will tend to dominate the site.
