Raphael is a teacher, researcher and filmmaker. He lectures at the University of Hawaii at Manoa on film and disability. He is also a visiting lecturer at Akira Kurosawa School of Film, and at Escuela de Cine y Artes Visuales, Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala City. He is currently working on his first feature film in Guatemala.
