I'm a jazz and blues singer with an obsession with food and drink. Cooking and eating are two of my favorite pastimes. I learned to cook from my beautiful mom, Nancy. I also grew up watching Julia Child and the Galloping Gourmet with my dad, Harry - a pretty darn good cook himself. I supported myself through college and then some by working pretty much every restaurant job except for the line. I got a taste of that post-Katrina when I worked as a short-order cook at a little coffee shop in my neighborhood, called Tout de Suite Cafe. Hands down one of the hardest jobs I've ever had!
