Introducing Romi Gill .... the next BIG STAR of Bodybuilding Romi's interest in bodybuilding developed at the age of 18 after reading a copy of Flex magazine. He decided to join a local gym and started working out casually. He initially became serious about training because he wanted to look like his favorite cartoon characters – “He-Man” and Superman, however he didn't see significant results due to a poor nutrition and bad eating habits. Romi started researching proper diet plans and implementing them, then he saw the results he always wanted. One day, Romi was conversing with a work-out buddy at his gym about competing professionally at a local show. This conversation inspired him to take his training to a whole new level. Romi's first show (FAME) was in March 2004 and even though he didn't have the experience in bodybuilding training and competing, he still managed to finish in 3rd place. Six months after the competition, Romi was in an accident which forced him to take a few years off from competing, however he made it a point to watch his diet and visit the gym on a regular basis. In 2009, Romi's passion for competing was re-ignited and he discovered another local show - Sandra Wickham Fall Classic. Romi trained really hard for 7 weeks leading up to the show and lost 35lbs in the process. He trained 2x a day and ate 5-6 meals daily. Due to juggling a busy work life, Romi didn't fully focus diet and training as much as he wanted to, however his commitment for competing was stronger than ever. Romi also decided to become a vegetarian, a couple of years ago, which made it even heard to eat healthy yet get adequate amount of protein. Romi’s strong will power and inner drive made him overcome all obstacles and be the best he could be in 7 weeks. Romi finished in 3rd place again and this time, a spark of fire had been lit in Romi to take 1st place in the next competition. He is competing in the Sandra Wickham Fall Classic again this year on November 13th at Massey Theatre. His 90 day training has officially started and he will provide step-by-step details on his training plan.
