Rolf Asphaug

I'm retired and a volunteer patroller for several state and local parks, often working with my golden retriever companion, Sophie. I enjoy long-distance backpacking, photography, bad guitar, and old-time dancing, among other pursuits. My backpacking trail name is Kinnikinnick, because like the plant of that name I cover ground slowly. I'm a former president, trip leader, and wilderness trekking instructor for the Colorado Mountain Club and a founding board member of the Colorado Fourteeners Initiative.
