Hi, My name is Bob and I am concerned about global warming and sometimes try and express this in my art. I was born in Wuppertal, Germany, moved to the U.K as a child, left the U.K to work in a desert military camp with the US Army COE as a systems engineer, near the borders of Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Kuwait. The desert has no physical borders I could walk freely across into Iraq without hindrance. I smoked hubbly- bubbly (Hajar) and drank strong tea with my Iraqi and Kuwaiti friends, in the nearby town of Hafar Al Batin. I left Saudi to explore China and Inner Mongolia and finally got married in Hong Kong, spent the next 15 years in the United Arab Emirates working with geologists and scientists extracting oil. I now reside in New Zealand with my wife and son, where I paint in acrylics and oil.
