Quilting Crosses with Threads of Hope
Dearest reader, visitor, friend, fellow sojourner! I will begin to tell you a little about myself with this; a poem which is really a song. Don't worry, you will NOT have to hear me sing it, although you may ponder it a bit. It is not who I have always been, but is surely who I have become. Here you go! “Identity” Who am I? I am HIS. Whose am I? I’m still HIS! Who died for me? It was HE! Who paid the price, upon that tree? It was HE, the only One. Only HIM, God’s purest Son! HE is mine and I am HIS ... Yes, this is about my faith and my love for my Lord Jesus. My gratefulness for His gift; His life for my salvation, and the journey in this life that I am on is the source of my writing here. I also had a strong bit of encouragement. Beyond my faith, I am most importantly Mark's wife of 40 years. I am Mom to our three grown children. My son-in-love and daughters-in-love call me whatever they want with names like Grammy and Teetah. I am Grammy and Grammy Lola to our three grandchildren who are my dearest delights. I have a few others that I think of like family as well, but they just call me Sondra or Mrs. Garrett ;) I love deeply. Pray long and write longer. I hurt easily and am very gullible. These two are likely connected. I forgive as I have been forgiven, to the best of my ability and by the grace of God. I adore my church and her servants and can spend hours alone in the prayer garden reading, writing, praying of course and listening for that still small voice of God. He is so generous to meet me there oftentimes. If you come by here (this site) upon occasion, you will not find perfection but you will find honesty and learn a little about my passions. Sewing can easily be added to the passions list. I'll bet you can guess what I like to sew ... quilts, especially quilts with crosses, hence the name of this site. I'll edit this from time to time, but for now ... This will do! Joy and blessings, Sondra Proverbs 25:11 "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in setting of silver."
