Phil Morris was turned on to pen turning by a family friend and was hooked almost immediately. Phil’s Pen Studio is located in his home where he is able to mix practice, patience and passion to improve upon his original creations. His goal is to design new and creative custom pens from a variety of materials. Currently, he is working with materials ranging from drift wood, aluminum scraps and plastics to antlers, bones and other exotic woods and acrylics to complete new and unique designs. Phil has explored and expanded his knowledge in segmented work. As recently as February, he won 1st place on the International Association of Pen Turners Website in the Intermediate Pen Category for his segmenting work.
