Born & raised here on Florida's Space Coast, I am inspired by my beautiful tropical surroundings! The bold colors, salty air & eclectic culture lend heavily to a creative spirit..I love painting! As a young adult I bought a Coastal Living Magazine and fell in love with the whimsical, happiness that coastal decor brings... There is something easy, romantic & peaceful about it... I don't always paint beaches or sea-grass, boats and fish, but everything I do paint is inspired by the colors & lifestyle that living by the sea brings! I grew up here on the Space Coast of Florida and I think the bright touristy colors of Ron Jons' and the influence of Disney World definitely shaped the way I see the world around me and can be seen in the way that I create ;) ... I live in Cocoa, Florida with my husband John & our 2 babies Amelia & Elliott.. After having a difficult time conceiving Amelia & finally having a child of my own to raise; I was faced with the torturous decision of going back to work & handing her off to someone else to raise or staying home with her and living my dream... Not an easy thing to decide when paying bills and putting food on the table is also a factor! So now, on top of being totally in love with creating mini vacations out of wood, on canvas and pretty much anything else I can get my hands on, I have a world to create for these 2 kiddos! One that will teach them compassion, integrity, honor, independence & to create a life for themselves as well! *you know, not a big deal, just changing the world & all...lol... All of THAT goes into everything that I do! I hope that it inspires you to live your best day today!
