I'm an outsider looking in at American life. I have no interest in American obsession with sports and entertainment culture and consumer-oriented suburban life. And the crazy environment at my Fortune 100 corporate workplace makes absolutely no sense. I just want to take care of my family, do my work well, and not talk about politics with the misguided right wingers in my office. You wouldn't think that would be so difficult, but . . .
