I have always had a passion for fashion and began sewing and making my own clothing and accessories in order to create my own visions or try to re-create what I see in the wonderful world of fashion apparel and accessories. I strive to become a better seamstress every time I pick up a new sewing project. I love sewing and the joy it brings me to create something unique to wear or have around the house. I get a thrill when I find a new beautiful fabric or an interesting pattern to sew. I use commercial patterns most often, but I like to tweak the design of them or sew them using fine couture techniques. I have pattern making experience, and would like to take the time to design my own creations and visions, but am usually in some kind of rush, or just want to make something and not have to think about the pattern making process, so I pull out a commercial pattern and work from there. Seeing color, texture or design details in fashion and home decor just makes my heart sing and I am grateful to be able to create things, albeit usually simple in design, for now at least, by sewing and pattern making. I aim to learn from others as well from my own challenges and mistakes. I feel that sharing information and discussing it with others make us all better people! I started this blog as a personal journal to document my thought process and ideas in one place besides an actual paper journal (which I still love to write in as well). So, I apologize if it may be slightly clunky and terribly uninteresting, and posts may be less frequent than other sewing and crafting bloggers do, but it is really just a way for me to get my projects written down and together in a journal, so to speak, and to share whenever any one of my 10 followers wish to see what I am up to in my spare time.
