PROFESSIONAL With two decades in the nonprofit sector, I have helped to raise nearly $80 million for various causes, and allocate $55 million in grant funds to applicants. I am applying this experience as executive director of Community & Home Supports (CHS), an agency providing home-based services to families in crisis to preserve families through services that increase skills that enable families to achieve greater self-determination and strengthen families’ capacity to deal independently with future challenges. CHS also provides comprehensive services to older adults living in the tri-county area of Southeast Michigan to meet their basic needs. A licensed social worker, I have worked with residential and non-residential youth programs, developed supportive housing for the homeless, and developed programs to help people recover from the effects of homelessness and other issues. ACADEMIC I recently was graduated with an MA in Health Communication (includes graduate certificate), where my inquiry focuses on new and social media use among healthcare workers, between patients and their *medical homes *effect of technology on the healthcare experience *patient deception.
