The Women’s department provides national coordination on issues that effect women university students. Through the Women’s Officer, NUS runs campaigns focused on the disproportionate challenges women face while studying at university and lobbies government and universities for change in these areas. One of the autonomous departments within NUS, the Women’s officer liaises with the women’s sector and with campus Women’s officers and collectives to ensure representation and engagement across affiliate universities.
