Nqobile Buthelezi

Nqobile Buthelezi is a former journalists and media manager. She previously worked at the African Media Initiative and Highway Africa. She is a Rhodes University Media Management graduate. Undergraduate studies were completed at the University of KwaZulu-Natal with a Bachelor's degree in Media and Linguistics. Born in 1985, September 2, Nqobile has since grown up within the world of public speaking, debating and writing. Being educated within the confines of a Dominican Convent school- Sacred Heart, has grounded and added value to her meticulous yet out-spoken personality and inquisitive mind. In 2007-2009, Nqobile was chosen to be a member of the Highway Africa Future Journalist Programme (FJP). Through this project, Nqobile has since ventured into the journalism world as a young journalist hungry for success in the media. Nqobile also composes songs and is a poet, with a collection of yet unpublished poetry and spoken word. She is currently unemployed, but keeps tabs with the media world from the confines of her bedroom and laptop.
