Bartlesville, OK

I graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1965. I worked for a few years before the birth of my daughter. After she was born, I decided I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom. I have never regretted that decision. I also have a son. I am a grandma now, and that is a great joy for me. My husband and I live on an acreage in the woods and are surrounded by wildlife. Our "neighbors" are both a blessing and a curse! I am a Christian on mission for Christ and am also on a mission to raise awareness for ovarian cancer. It took me seven months to get a diagnosis. I didn't know the symptoms and cancer didn't run in my family. I simply didn't think to ask if I could have cancer. I want to give women the facts about ovarian cancer so that they will be more prepared than I was. Every day is a gift, and I am very thankful for all the blessings God has given me.
