Michael Rosie

A Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Edinburgh, I am also Editor of Scottish Affairs (http://www.euppublishing.com/loi/scot). My key academic interests are Scottish society and politics; religious identity in secularised societies; nationalism and national identities; media and nationalism; the politics of prejudice and 'sectarianism'. My ambition in life is to see Heart of Midlothian win the Scottish championship to the sounds of Jimmy Cliff's 'Many Rivers To Cross'.
