Hi, I'm Sara and I live with my partner on a little land on the edge of a commune. I have only been here a year and a half, but my partner has lived here for four years and on the commune for close to eighteen years. We have a few sheds that are a work in process , some interiors are yet unfinished, we will build on ourselves over time. We were lucky to aquire to property with some infrastucture already on it. We spend a lot of time pottering around fitting out the sheds into homes for our family we plan to start trying for in the near future, so there is much do get achieved before this occurs. We look after our property in an organic, sustainable fashion, with little impact on land resorts. We run on solor, and gas for fridge, oven and hot water. We have satalite tv and internet, and spend some of most days working on the garden. We practice DIY as much as we can manage. And have many little projects on all times. Our aim is not to be completely self sufficient, but to not need to rely on anyone for our energy costs and basic living expences. I am surprised to find that we can live with just as much as any person in a city. Gas is really our only energy cost and petrol for the car. I love my life here we are slowly working on removing all toxins from our home so we have an organic enironment for our future child.
