M J Curry

I'm a professor of academic literacy and language education at the Warner Graduate School of Education and Human Development, University of Rochester, NY. I'm also the founding director of our Writing Support Services. My research for the past 20 years has focused on access to the academic literacies circulating in higher education, including a longitudinal study of multilingual scholars writing for publication, conducted with Dr Theresa Lillis of the Open University, UK, "Professional Academic Writing in A Global Context." My related studies have explored experiences of engineers (including faculty members, post-docs, graduate students, and undergraduates) as well as scholars in Chile writing for publication.
