As a publisher for over 40 years, I might be expected to have a bit of a book habit, sometimes to a marriage-threatening degree. In an intermittently distinguished career I have been responsible for a fair number of bestsellers and inspired flashes of inspiration, and many more complete dogs (I mean commercially) that have vanished without trace. That's publishing, so it goes...but I thought it would be interesting to blog about some of the weird and wonderful stuff that's washed up on my shelves - some worthy, some dull, some just plain bonkers...
